Judy D. Thompson is a seasoned insolvency professional with more than 30 years of experience representing lenders, secured and unsecurd creditors and Creditors Committees. Judy currently represents a number of large corporate and institutional creditors in cases throughout the country. She has represented debtors and creditors in business cases across the country, represented buyers of assets from the bankruptcy estate and has extensive experience in bankruptcy litigation matters. Judy is particularly skilled in workouts and out of court negotiations and for many years taught a course in advanced commercial workouts for Executive Enterprises in New York. She also is certified and serves as a mediator in state and bankruptcy court litigation and is frequently called in to mediate the "case that won't settle." After a long career in large firms and many years of chairing a large bankruptcy practice group, in February of 2010 Judy left her firm and opened her own firm to work with select clients and matters. Judy's current assignments include cases representing developers and individual guarantors who have been caught in the economic downturn or those seeking to acquire troubled real estate projects, and ongoing representation of multiple large corporate clients handling all of their bankruptcy matters nationwide.
